Local Ministries
St Paul’s also supports the ‘Just Sew’ ministry held every Tuesday during school terms 2, 3 and 4. This is an opportunity for people from the community to learn to sew, complete sewing projects and fellowship together.

Supporting Overseas Ministries
AFRI-LIFT AFRICA
As a congregation, we also support AFRILIFT – a training farm venture in Africa under the leadership of Robin and Margaret Aim. Afri-Lift was established by Robin and Margaret to alleviate poverty by empowering young persons and their families.
The programs include child sponsorship, leadership development, emergency feeding, children ministry, street programs and church planting. Afri-lift has created projects such as primary schools, sports program, vocational training centre and a rehabilitation farm in Kiserian.
Some of these have now been handed over to the local leadership. Over a 30-year period Afri-Lift has been on the forefront of not creating programs but people who are rehabilitated back into society. Robin and Margaret work with national and local employees, long term and short-term volunteers.
OPEN AIR CAMPAIGNERS
We also support OPEN AIR CAMPAIGNERS David and Elaine Wilson in Florida, USA. OAC’s mission is proclaiming the gospel to the unreached through open air and other outreaches in partnership with the church, training our national evangelists in 12 developing countries and equipping them to reach their own countrymen for Christ.
Every year over 400,000 are being reached. In some areas, churches are being planted by pastors who accompany our evangelists.
CELEBRATE MESSIAH NZ
We also support Michael and Theresa Thomas, who are members of the ministry of CELEBRATE MESSIAH NZ and they are based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Celebrate Messiah NZ is the New Zealand branch of an international network called Chosen People Global Ministries. CPGM exists to pray for, evangelise, disciple, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same.
The mission was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1894 by Rabbi Leopold Cohn, a Hungarian immigrant with a zeal to introduce the Messiah, Jesus, to his own Jewish people. Today, Chosen People Global Ministries serves in at least seventeen countries worldwide.
Michael & Teresa Thomas have been involved in Messianic ministry for nearly two decades. Together they engage in evangelism to Israelis and other international travellers as well as discipleship ministries. They work together to promote prayer, encouragement and fellowship among NZ Christians who host Israelis. They seek to bless Israel directly and by supporting those who also bless Israel. We support our missionaries both at home and overseas in prayer and practically.
